Hi, I’m Sharon DeBell. As the owner and principal landscape architect at DeBell Design, I bring 20 years of experience to creating San Francisco Bay Area outdoor spaces. 

My passion for design and the environment goes as far back as I can remember. I discovered my passion as a girl, working in my grandmother’s garden. By twelve, I had enrolled in my first landscape design class. Soon after, I designed and built my first pond project in my parent’s garden. From those early roots, my passion grew.

My expertise lies in crafting beautiful and functional spaces while always prioritizing sustainability. I believe in creating landscapes that seamlessly blend with the natural environment, promoting biodiversity and fostering a connection with the outdoors. 

I specialize in residential garden design, edibles, natives, and sustainable design. Over the course of my career, I have had the privilege of working on a wide array of projects, ranging from cozy courtyards to large public parks. This diversity of experiences has honed my adaptability and versatility, ensuring I can confidently meet any design challenge.
